Diana's Brief Biography


Diana began performing professionally in 1975. Her dance experience comes from a diverse background including ballet, jazz, varied styles of belly dance, flamenco, and her Greek heritage.

She began her belly dance career in the early 1970's with the world renowned Burt Balladine as her teacher.

She has performed all over the country and in the San Francisco Bay Area where she lived until 1987.

Diana's fluid, sensual and joyful style conveys the love of her art as she entices, energizes and draws in her audience.

This is equally expressed in her teaching as she completely supports her students in their process and personal style. While teaching eclectic techniques, Diana encourages and promotes "feeling and connection to oneself through the dance experience".

Diana has taught through out the country, at the University of Utah , in the San Francisco Bay area, Sierra Nevada College , her studio in Lake Tahoe , California and Arabian Nights at Sea since it's maiden voyage in 1996.

She is the producer of "An Evening at the Casbah" and "Mediterraneo", "Mythological Renaissance Faire of Lake Tahoe", which ran successfully for three years in Lake Tahoe .
